At W&M, Corporate Finance Law is indeed our forte. More specifically, we are well versed in offering commercial transaction legal advisory in all areas of corporate finance including but not limited to; conducting due diligences, advising on share purchases, and all corresponding loan agreements, such as loan agreements, shareholder agreements, private placements, rights issues and acquisition of financing via syndicated loans.

The Partners at W&M have a in-depth knowledge and understanding on perfection and realization of securities and the evolving changes in this area of Law.

The Firm draws and registers charges, mortgages, debentures, loan agreements and chattels for various financial institutions and ensures that it's clients in any their transaction are adequately protected and represented.

In addition, the Firm also represents clients in matters pertaining to amalgamation of land, subdivision, extension of leases and change of user for developers.

The Firm’s litigation department, has successfully represented clients in commercial disputes, employment and labour related matters, insurance law and material damage claims, family law matters and criminal law matters.

Moreover, in an effort to ensure the expeditious disposal of matters, the Firm encourages its clients to partake in different modes of alternative dispute resolution mechanisms. This promotes expedient out of court settlement of disputes.

TELECOMMUNICATION

W & M has a comprehensive grasp of the commercial & regulatory aspects of the telecommunication industry. Most notably, the Firm has provided a full spectrum of telecommunication legal services to among others EA Submarine Communications Ltd (SEACOM) and Safaricom Ltd.

Further, the Partners continue to keep abreast of the rapidly evolving telecommunications industry. We offer our clients pragmatic and sector specific legal advice in this area of law.

The Firm has a robust Intellectual Property department that is well versed in IP registration and portfolio management services for its clientele.

We have recently commenced undertakings in litigious aspects of intellectual property law including expungement and infringement claims, instituting and defending claims with regard to trade marks, patent litigation and copyright infringement.
